इस कथित विश्वव्यापी मंदी के दौर में, ऐसा नहीं है कि सिर्फ हमारे भारत में ही नौकरियाँ खत्म की जा रही हैं। जानी माने वाहन निर्माता Chrysler ने अपने वेतनभोगी कर्मचारियों की तादाद में 25 प्रतिशत की कटौती करने का फैसला लिया है तथा एक परिपत्र जारी कर खर्चों में कटौती का भी संदेश दिया है।
इसके अलावा समाचार पत्र Star-Ledger ने तो अपने कर्मचारियों की संख्या को लगभग आधा कर दिया है।
Chrysler LLC says it will cut 25 percent of its salaried work force starting next month.
The company says the cuts are in addition to those previously announced and will be done through involuntary layoffs and voluntary retirements and buyouts.
